Super Selfie Stations, Patio Extensions and Effective Outside Displays

Selfie Stations

Experience Marketing Pro Tip: Set up a selfie stations in highly visible place to attract foot traffic. Well, you couldn’t get more visible than at a street fair. The darling staff at Nicole Renee took full advantage of the fair this year. Even with Covid restrictions and the fair spread out, a whole lot of neighbors and lookers came out. Just about all of them stopped at this new innovative selfie station set just outside their front door

The bigger the statement you make, the more attention your selfie station will get. The more that statement connects with a customer’s desire to be seen having a unique and enviable experience, the more it will get used.

A theme-appropriate selfie station is the most effective tool for generating in-house customer testimonials. Popular selfie stations offer customers a place to show off while connecting to your business.  Even without the investment in the latest in technology, you can designate an area that conveys feelings about your business. The best selfie stations inspire good feelings in customers and a reason to return, and they aren’t exclusive to events, use them all the time, near entries or even outside.

Patio Extensions

A simple way for cafés, bars, and restaurants to participate in a neighborhood street wide event or block party, is by extending the size of your patio. Rent attractive fencing or use flagging to extend your outdoor space as much as possible. Use colorful plastic cloths, flowers or something that adds to your brand. Add a greeter at the entry, ready to snap a picture or make eye contact, inviting people in the moment or to come back later in the week.

Outdoor Displays

People love to come to a Street Fair, but they may not always go inside your business, so be prepared to attract people as they walk by. At the very least, pop up a tent and display your wares out front of your business with sale merchandise, giveaways, promotional flyers, or coupons. Use eye-catching mannequins or signs and products to tickle the imagination of people strolling by.

If your business is outside the area where street fair crowds tend to be concentrated, consider teaming up with a more centrally located business and partner with them by staffing a shared vendor booth or table. But, however you manage it, take your inside business – outside - on street fair days.
